Aquarium Day, Movie Theater Test & Waking Westin Up to Play

Wes:  1 Year, 6 Months & 3 Weeks Old
Ty:  3 Years, 7 Months & 3 Weeks Old

Well, I have never been 7 weeks behind before.  I had a huge presentation due for school that kept me up to 4 AM most mornings for 2 weeks, so I was so tired that I couldn't do any blogging on Friday nights or Sabbaths... and then we went to campmeeting for a week, Bar Harbor camping for the next weekend, and then I worked a full weekend.  There just hasn't been any time to get a blog out since I have to do school every night during the week!  So...back to my original plan for the blog when I started school to get myself caught up...mostly pictures and videos only, with a story or 2 thrown in the mix.  We'll see how it goes!

May 30 - June 5

Sabbath May 31 - day up at Conway church (just for the day)
Westin still loves to lay on Griffin

Next day...June 1 day at the New England Aquarium with Sonia's school

Seal looking directly at Ty

My handsome boy

The boys loved the penguins

Wes loved the ginormous tank and all the fish...especially the turtles!  He would call, "Turtle!  Come!" to try to get the turtles to come back around!

Eating our sack lunch outside...watching a bird eating our crumbs

Looking at a crab on the docks (aquarium staff is out there to educate kids)

Touching a jelly fish

Saw a 3D movie on Lemurs...thought it was a good test to see if we could bring Westin to a real movie theater.  Let's just say...he failed the test.  He was enthralled for about 10 minutes and then that was it!  The last 35 minutes were a challenge!

Ty loved it - he kept trying to touch the lemurs!

Brother lovin'

Petting the sting rays

Sea lion show

Had enough

Playing in the gift shop - Ty is a scary shark!

Walking around Quincy Market after the aquarium

One funny (or not so funny story)...Heath had pulled into the aquarium parking garage (because some of the parking garages are 1/2 priced on Sundays)...but it said that it was going to be $36 for the day.  Heath said, "Forget this!" and backed all the way out of the parking garage!  He dropped the boys & I off at the aquarium and proceeded to go find a 1/2 priced garage.  He searched awhile and he finally found one like 10 blocks away, found one that had a sandwich board sign that advertised the 1/2 price, parked and joined us.  We hiked back to our car at the end of the day...drove up to the payment booth, and the lady said, "That will be $36!"  Heath was so upset, he said, "There was a sign that said it was half off today."  And she said, "No."  And so after all of that looking, and walking...we paid the same amount that we could have paid right at the aquarium!!!  It is terrible because you do not have any recourse.  These garages take cash only - it is not like you can do a charge back on your credit card.  I guess we should have taken the T in... so expensive!!!!

Sharing sips of soda at the Taco Bell on the way home from the aquarium

It is hard to see...but this is a scene that awoke me of the mornings that week.  Ty wakes up "when his clock turns green" at 8 AM, but Westin normally sleeps until 8:30-9:00 AM.  A few times this week, Ty started waking up and climbing into Westin's crib and waking him up!  Not cool!  And this time, Ty had brought lots of toys into Westin's crib and they were playing together!  It was cute, but stop waking your brother up too early!!!

Swimming lessons that Thursday - my parents came to watch Ty's progress that week and that was Ty looking up at them in the balcony!

Westin (love the hands behind his back) wishing he could go in so bad!

Ty really improving on his floating skills!

Putting a life jacket on Westin so he felt part of the group!

OK....1 week down and 6 more to go!!!
